Nancy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 27, 2000

Things have really calmed down around my house over the holidays between Whitney and her Dad. Thank God for that. I am proud to say that Whitney has finally accepted her punishment, and she is starting to take on her responsibilities around the house. She still complains somewhat, but it is getting better every day. Christmas was a very good day around our house. I think both children were happy with their gifts.

I was happy to sit back and relax and watch Whitney and her Dad work on putting her new stereo together (he was so excited to get it for her). You see, this is something that they have in common. They both love music -- the same style of music. He sat on the living room floor with her and went over every detail on how to use this new toy of hers, from speakers to CD changer to woofers -- he explained it all.

I really hope they continue to do more things together like this. I feel they both need this. I remember growing up, and my Dad was my hero and could do no wrong in my eyes. I want Whitney to feel this way about her Dad, too.

The New Year is coming up real soon, a time for new beginnings, new resolutions and new hope. I am really looking forward to this year being a good one for my family and me. I hope it is for everyone else too. I wish this world could find the peace and happiness that it deserves and that God has meant for it to have. I'll just keep praying for everyone to find God, and make Him a part of their lives, and, someday, the world will have the peace and happiness that it needs.

Best wishes to all,

Nancy
