Jeremy has been the teenager who was "designated" to pick Megan up from school. He's been late picking her up a couple of times, but he gets there. Luckily, the school is right around the corner from our townhouse.
One day last week Jeremy called me at work at around 3 p.m. He informed me that Megan went off with her friend's mother in a van. When I inquired who this friend was, he said, "You know!" Well, thankfully, we were able to figure out who this friend was. Only Jeremy didn't realize that when Megan goes off to a friend's house to play, he isn't off the hook. He figured, fine. Megan isn't here, so I'm outta here. Needless to say, I received a phone call at around 6 p.m. at work from Megan's friend's mother stating she attempted to drop Megan off at home, but nobody was there! So, it's a learning process for Jeremy and for me. My older daughter Melissa was much more responsible about these things; however, she works in the afternoon/evenings now, and so I must entrust Jeremy to the very important task of watching his little sister.
