Bridgett's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
Back home in Ohio visiting...
July 12, 2006
Something crazy happened again with my entries, my Mom's entry ended up here
once again instead on my Mom's diary.
This is the second time it has happened, so I don't think it is me, but I can't
be sure. How could I have accidently done the same thing twice. When I login,
my Teens diary is the diary that shows up, from there I have to, from a drop down
menu, select what one of my other diaries I want to switch to, and then I have
to click on switch. I did the select and switch and it even said Mom's Today diary,
I am positive it was my moms, I even looked back at previous entries, but for
some reason the entry meant for mom's is here. I appologize because it isn't as good as it was the first time as in the look of it.For that reason ,I am reposting the entry again that is meant to be showing here on my Teen's
diary.
Our family is back home in Ohio vsiting with family.
This is something we do two or three times a year. In the past couple of years
we have come back home for the Thanksgiving holiday, but this past year with the
new Tourism Legislation that was put in place for Eastern Coastal North Carolina
and the change it caused in the school schedule we were not able to come back.
Because of the new legislation the school year was not able to start until the
end of August, which usually started the begining of the month, therefore the
entire year schedule changed and we do not get any time off before Thanksgiving
day, therefore we can't drive back home. I'm sure your wondering what this has
to do with anything, well in the past years since we moved away we would come home for Thanksgiving and Joshua
would get to go to what would have been his Middle School (had we stayed living
here and also the one his Grandma worked in) and see his old friends. We would get out of school in time to drive up and the schools here still had
to go to class half a day the first day we were here, so it worked out perfect
for Joshua to see everyone.
Joshua has been in OH for several days now and has only actually seen and talked
with one of his former classmates. That meeting was actually an accident
when we went looking for the place his Unlce lived. It just happened that the
boy was the next door neighbor to Joshuas Uncle Rob and when we went by Tyler
S. was outside in the front yard and Joshua yelled at him. Tyler didn't know who
Joshua was at first, so Joshua told him who he was and he said "Oh, hi!" Tyler
then said "wow, I haven't seen you in a while". The two boys chatted briefly and
then we were once again off to make sure where Uncle Rob lived checking with another
neighbor. We eventually left a note for Joshua's Uncle to call him at his Grandma's
house.
So, so far there has not been too much going on with Joshua lately.
Yesterday we did go down to WV to see Joshua's step-Grandma and two of his step-Cousins
were there. Joshua was very surpirsed,
as well as all of us were, when the oldest of the two brothers Tyler stood up.
The last time we had seen this child was about a year and a half ago at Christmas
time when we were up in OH and drove down to Kentucky to see them. The last time we saw Tyler he was not a whole lost bigger than Joshua. Tyler
was about the same build and was maybe a couple of inches taller (at the most)
than Joshua. Well yesterday when we saw Ty, he was over 6 ft tall, skinny and very tall. The funny
thing is, Tyler is 6 mos younger than Joshua even, so he is only still 14 and
that big. The boys all had a good time playing video games, messing around on the computer
and watching movies while we were there. Well, I guess that is it for now.
I will try to give another update before we leave here in another week or so, that is if there is anything to report because the internet connection here is a pain sometimes, I can't get all my edit features to work on here(spellcheck being one of those so I appologize), and the keyboard isn't that great, so I may just wait to get another entry when we get back home.
Until next time..............
God bless, Bridgett and Joshua
