Happy 16th BIRTHDAY Joshua!
May 14, 2007
Its hard to believe I'am now the mother of a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD!! Yikes
, its so hard it has been that many years since Joshua was born. Yes, at times
it seems like we have endured so much that there should be about twice that many
years since he was born, but honestly, I just can't believe Joshua is 16, and
in just two years he will be graduating High School. At least we hope he is Graduating
from High School around this time in 2009. Saturday the 12th of May was the day
that we actually celebrated Joshua's Birthday.
The celebration ended up just being his family. Joshua's Grandpa (my ex FIL) and his new wife came down from VA to be at the celebration and my Mom and my Grandad, Joshua's Great Grandad came through this way on their way to Florida, and stayed a few days with us and were here for the celebration also. So, except for Joshua's bio-father's Mother and Grandma in Florida, which we have had no contact with in about 7 yrs, all of Joshua's Grandparents were here to help us celebrate.
I made lots of cook-out food and we grill hotdogs and homemade hamburgers. I ordered a cake and it was very delicious. I got it at Foodlion and I have to say I think it was the moistest chocolate cake I have ever had, we also had whipped cream icing put on it, so the entire cake was pretty good. I also made my Grandma Loretta's Homemade icecream to have with the chocolate cake, and it complimented it very well. The only thing better would have been if I had had Grandma's Homemade hot fudge sauce( or dope, as we used to call it on the farm, I don't know how it ever got named that, I guess it was just that awesome and on top of Homemade icecream it was doubly awesome). We ate and then most everyone ate some more, then we let Joshua open his presents and then we had Cake and Homemade vanilla icecream, at least I think thats the order we did things in, I know we ate first anyway! LOL
I was a little disappointed that a couple of the neighbors we invited didn't end up coming over. And, Joshua had wanted a couple of his friends to come over, but they didn't end up coming either. But, we had a nice time and I think Joshua really appreciated it. Well it is getting late and I need to get a little boy in bed, so I am going to end for now and try not to take so long in getting another update written. I have more to write about, but will save taht for another writing session.

UNTIL NEXT TIME..................................
God Bless,
Bridgett and Joshua
(Sorry about any typos, I can't get the spellcheck to work to check it! )
