Natural Techniques to Improve Your Child's Vision

Applying the above mentioned yoga techniques could yield amazing results on the spot. After deep relaxation, nearsighted kids should notice how blurred text will appear gradually bright and sharp for a few seconds. Despite the fact that these achievements will revert to the abnormal sight after a few seconds, temporary improvements accumulate to permanent ones. Once your child's muscles start feeling the right amount of contraction needed for the accurate accommodation, they'll know where to aim and how to get there next time. A highly motivated child who practices these routines on a daily basis may be able to get rid of glasses after several weeks or at least stop the progress of their myopia.

Did You Know?
  • Psychologists have studied the tendencies of nearsighted children and have found that a high percentage are shy, introverted, like sedentary activities, pay attention to details and like to analyze things. They also tend to have "soft" bodies and a tense, depressed chest.
  • Over 90 percent of accountants are nearsighted, and less than 10 percent of farmers are nearsighted.
  • Ninety percent of Americans will start using glasses at some point in their lives. Myopia affects more than 80 million people in the United States.
  • There is a study of Navy submariners who all had 20/20 sight before spending six months on a submarine. After six months, a high percentage of the submariners developed a mild amount of nearsightedness. They speculate that this is the result of not being able to relax their focus farther than a certain distance.
